From one child
to another
Play is important for young children, and not just for fun.
It's a great way to develop concentration, creativity and vital skills like speech.
The toys will be given to children living with chronically ill family members and used in toy libraries for children with disabilities. In many countries children with disabilities do not have an opportunity to mix with other children or attend school.
The library is place children and their parents can go - the children can play and develop in a safe environment while their parents share problems and experiences.
"If Luka didn't come here he'd be alone with me all day, because there's nowhere else to go. He's still not ready for mainstream school, but this place helps him to challenge himself and develop." Ljiljana, Save the Children volunteer, Toy Library, Serbia.
